Ultrasound, which is a sound wave of frequency more than 20 kHz, is beyond the hearing range of human. It can go underneath the skin and reflect images of muscles, organs and tissues. Being painless, harmless, no radiation and no contrast are used.

Instrument

Our centre has introduced Siemens ACUSON S3000TM Ultrasound System. The system uses Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology and Virtual TouchTM applications to provide clinical images which show the stiffness and thickness of different tissues with incredible clarity and detailed resolution. In addition, eSie Touch Elasticity Imaging Technology has a high sensitivity that can differentiate stiff and soft tissues in order to obtain a clearer image.
