A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is highly advance medical imaging technology used to show images of various tissues and organs in different planes after computer reconstruction. MRI scan uses powerful magnetic field and radio waves to produce images. Specialists can then use those images for medical diagnosis. Although MRI is costly, it can provide extremely high-resolution medical images without ionizing radiation.

Instrument

To provide a quick and precise MRI service, our centre uses Siemens’ MAGNETOM Aera 1.5T scanner which is the most advance latest generation MRI scanner. It has a 70-cm Open Bore systems with ultra-short 145cm system length design, enables more head-out and feet-out exams to be carried out. This increases patients’ comforts level, especially for those claustrophobic patient.

Incorporating up to 204 coil elements and 64 RF channels, MAGNETOM Aera 1.5T have a scan range of up to 205cm, thanks to its core imaging technologies Tim 4G and Dot , it not only provides high-resolution MRI images, but also minimizes the time period for the whole process. As a result, it maximizes efficiency and reliability.
